BME PhD Program miskaro1[at]jhu[dot]edu

Mark is a BME PhD student with a background in system-level circuit design and instrumentation. He is interested in developing neuroprosthetic systems that restore naturalistic sensation through sensory feedback. In particular, he wants to design systems that neuromorphically encode tactile stimuli as electrical stimulation patterns in order to seamlessly interface with the nervous system. Currently he is working on encoding texture information in a bio-inspired manner to allow for texture discrimination in neurorobotic systems. He is also interested in neuromorphic computing and models of the nervous system.
